How to make a Blueberry Yogurt Cheesecake

Hi,

I have put down my crocheting for today and decided to make a blueberry yogurt cheesecake this evening.  This cheesecake has a lovely rich purple colour produced naturally by the fresh blueberry puree and tastes light with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Warning: This cheese cake does not have a strong cheese flavour like say a NY Cheesecake.  It is more like a cheese mousse cake.  I have also reduced the sugar to save your waistline!  :)

Bon appetite and I hope you enjoy the cheesecake!

How to Crochet a Pearl Necklace and a Pearl Bracelet

 Hi,

Today I am going to show you how to make a very feminine and elegant bracelet cum necklace which is great for an evening out with friends or when you want the world to know you are a super Diva!

Materials:

The necklace / bracelet is very easy to make and takes less than an hour to finish. All you need is a 3mm crochet hook, some silver metallic yarn, about 50 pearl beads, an embroidery needle for sewing in the loose ends and knowledge of how to do the simple chain stitch. That’s it! Hope you have fun making this!

Instructions:
  1. Thread 48 to 50 pearl beads onto your metallic yarn
  2. Using a 3mm crochet hook, make 5 chain stitches (ch)
  3. Slide a pearl bead up very close to the hook and, keeping the pearl in place, ch 1 to secure the pearl into place.
Make sure that each time you crochet the pearl, you pull the yarn tight in order to get a neat and professional finish, otherwise the pearl will hang down too loosely.
  4. Ch 5
  5. Repeat rows 3 and rows 4 until all the pearls have been secured onto your necklace.
Check that the bracelet fits comfortably by wrapping it around your wrist loosely. Remember that there are no fastenings on the bracelet therefore make sure that you allow some slack room to slip your hand through the last wrap-around.
  6. Ch 1 and then cast off. Leave 9 inches of yarn for sewing before you cut the yarn
  7. Using a needle, secure the ends together. Cut off loose ends.
And Voila! Your very own pearl bracelet and necklace.
Happy crocheting!

I am NOT an Anteprima Wirebag!

I am not an Anteprima Wirebag!
I am not hard to make. I am not exorbitantly expensive. I am not one of many. Instead, I am handmade.  I am beautiful and I am unique!

For months I have been coveting the Anteprima Wirebags but unfortunately the price of these bags are exorbitantly expensive.  So I thought about it long and hard and decided that since the original bag is knitted in simple garter stitch using plastic spectacle straps, I thought I could try to design one using my new learnt technique - crocheting.  It is a wonderful hobby and I hope that I can inspire you to take up this hobby.  If you are interested to learn then go to Youtube and check out the videos,  There are tons of well made videos which will get you crocheting in no time!  Who knows - you may create something to share with everyone too!  Happy crocheting!
